About Retro Bill
Retro Bill is the most in demand Kindergarten-12th grade speaker in the U.S. and Canada. Growing up in Chicago, Retro Bill, also known as Bill Russ, came to Los Angeles on a scholarship to the USC School of Cinema-Television given to him personally by Steven Spielberg. After attending USC, he wrote and sold screenplays and directed music videos, commercials and infomercials for companies like MTV, CBS-TV, BMW, Guess and Sony.
Retro Bill talks on children’s safety, internet safety, self-esteem, anti-bullying, anti-tobacco, drug and alcohol abuse; a few of his titles include the official International D.A.R.E. safety buddy, spokesperson for Bright House Networks “Keeping Kids Safe” projects and ‘The 7 RIGHT ONs of Good Character” with Lucky Kat World. Retro Bill speaks to over a million kids every year!
